How it works
Getting your cooperative started
DairySarthi follows the way your cooperative already works. Here is how a society or union gets going, step by step.
Seven steps
Talk to us
Book a demo. We set up your cooperative on DairySarthi — with its own separate database — and create the first office login.
Set up the office
In the office web, add your societies, collection centres and staff, with the right role for each person.
Make the rate chart
Enter your FAT × SNF rate chart (or fixed, slab or formula), check prices in the simulator, and have a second person approve it.
Set up centre phones
Install the DairySarthi app on each centre's Android phone. A supervisor signs in, the office approves the device, and connect the printer — plus the scale and analyzer where supported.
Add farmers and give them a PIN
The office adds each farmer with their mobile number, prints the QR card if you use one, and gives the farmer a 6-digit sign-in PIN for the Kisan app.
Collect every day
Centres collect milk morning and evening, print receipts and close the shift. Entries sync when the network is there.
Settle and pay
The office reviews flags, runs settlement, a second person approves it, and farmers are paid in cash, by bank or UPI. Farmers see it in their app.
Who does what
Society / union office
- Adds centres, staff and farmers
- Gives each farmer a sign-in PIN
- Prepares and approves rate charts
- Approves settlement and payments
Collection centre
- Collects milk morning and evening
- Tests FAT and SNF, prints receipts
- Closes the shift and counts cash
- Keeps working when the network is down
Farmer
- Gets the PIN from the society office
- Installs DairySarthi Kisan
- Sees milk, money and payments
- Asks questions by voice
What you need
- An Android phone at each collection centre
- A computer or laptop with a browser for the office
- A Bluetooth thermal receipt printer (58 or 80 mm) if you want printed receipts
- Internet at least some of the time — collection keeps working without it
Hardware, honestly
Typing the figures in always works. Bluetooth thermal printing comes first; weighing scales and milk analyzers are switched on model by model after we have tested them — we do not claim every device works.
